Despite their age, and the fact that they were not originally designed for tactical missions, the Dominion War saw many Miranda Class vessels returned to service to bolster fleet numbers.

Seen here is a small fleet of these ships, refitted with updated engine and weapon technologies before being launched from an orbital holding yard in Federation space.

Poor ships; do they know they were the red shirts of the Dominion War?

They still formed an integral part of the fleet, because their structure made them easy to upgrade.

Very true, they also make great cannon fodder :p

Great shot.

And I like the refit of the warp nacelles with the red bussard collektor spot.

That's a really cool render  The lighting is very moody and colors are nice as well. It's a shame that the models aren't of higher quality because the simple edges distract a bit from the overall quality.

Thanks! Yeah sadly the downside to rendering with a 10-year-old game engine is that it doesn't run really high poly models all that well. Still, creating decent renders with limited engine abilities makes it more of a challenge IMO ;)
